Meaning Of Living Life

A man was living a happy life with his wife and son.

One day, his wife suddenly fell ill, and despite extensive treatment, she did not recover.
Unfortunately, a few days later, his son also fell ill, and despite all efforts, he too could not be saved.
This was a devastating blow to the man. He would cry day and night, completely disillusioned with life, and chose to live in solitude.
He neither talked to anyone nor mingled with others.

One day, as he remembered his son, he cried late into the night and eventually fell asleep.
In his dream, he found himself in the heavenly realm. There, he saw a procession of young children holding lit candles.
Among them, he saw his son, but the candle in his son's hand was extinguished.
The man, overwhelmed with emotion, hugged his son and cried profusely. Then, he asked his son why his candle was not lit.
The son replied, "Father, every time you cry while remembering me, your tears extinguish my candle."
Hearing this, the man woke up from his sleep. From that day, he stopped crying for his son and began helping orphaned children in his memory.

The essence of this story is that attachment to relationships is natural. However, instead of drowning in grief over their end through death, one should engage in constructive actions in their memory, making them remembered with joy and positivity.
